Another light gaming day...

Game played: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Xbox360)

After a long day of working, I was definitely ready to take Machete back into Skyrim.  Once there I continued to explore Riverwood.  Found a spot where I could cut some wood for a bit, then tried my hand at smithing.  I completed the first quest in which I had to forge an Iron Dagger and a Hide Helmet which introduced me to the forge, leather tanner, whetstone and workbench.  Afterwards I began a quest for a jealous Bard who wants to steal his darling's affections from the resident Archery Instructor.  After a bit more exploration in town, I took to the hills again to hunt and build my archery skill.  While out and about, I found a mine.  I will explore it tomorrow and hopefully find a pickax I can use to mine all the Iron Veins I've been coming across...

Another busy day today.  Not much gaming happened...

Game played: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Xbox360)

Played further with Thor and continued the quest "The Golden Claw" After completing the quest and reaching level 3, but getting killed by some ghouls that reside in the catacombs, I decided to start a new character as I had not given much time to the character generator process.  I decided to go with a Breton which I made to look like Danny Trejo and named Machete.  I plan on going more ranged attacks with Machete.  Stealth, magic and archery will be the focus as opposed to Thor's melee skills.  

Reached Riverwood once again, but decided to talk to more people before heading out into side-quests.  Got a bit of information about points of interest from residents, now I want to figure out how to craft potions and use magics.  I like that this game gives you very little direction but instead forces you to discover.  It's challenging and equally rewarding.

Game played: Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2

Made it through the Arena's F Tournament handily and into Iceolation.  There I met up with some new beasties to add to  my collection.  Can't wait to find them already at level 10 so that I don't game to level farm all of them.  Today I recruited a Wild Slime, Spiked Hare, Jailcat, Wild Boarfish, Snowbird, Hammerhood, and Satyr

Game played: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

After much delay in getting this game and much prodding from friends, I finally picked up a copy of Skyrim today.  I got to play for about thirty minutes today before going to work, in just that time I fell in love with the game.  I created a Nord character and named him Thor.  After the intro sequence I was quickly engrossed in escaping for my life, but had to save and quit to go to work.  After I got home, I started up again and continued on my quest.  Got as far as the first town and got my first quest to fetch a Golden Claw that was stolen from a shop by some thieves.  Can't wait to take it to these thieves and continue the adventure, although I feel that I am missing things already...

Journal Entry for Friday 1/6/2012

Didn't get to play much at all yesterday, and the bit I did play got deleted when the DQ Monsters cart shifted in my 3DS and I lost all my progress for the day.  After work today, I got right back into the grind.

Game played: Breeze (Windows Phone 7)

Completed four stages during my lunch break.  By doing so, I reached Level 20, which unlocked the following achievement and 25/50GS total:

5 UNLOCKED ON 1/6/2012

Game played: Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 (DS)

Had to re-do a bunch of stuff that had been done yesterday, but I got caught back up.  Found the Mole hideout in Doubtback, unlocked the ability to synthesize monsters with Dr. Lump, and can enter my first tournament.  Monsters have to be level 10 to synth, so I've spent much of the rest of the time grinding to see what cool monsters I can create.  Today I recruited a Metal Slime (finally), Heal Slime, Chimaera, Scissor Beatle, Mischievous Mole, Platypunk, Ghost and Drohl Drone.  I also Synthesized a Bullfinch by mixing a Hell Hornet and Frogface.  I'm ready to go to the tourney soon...
